H-braces Explained:
Braces are considered the backbone of your fence. A weak brace will cause your fence to fail. Plus, a well-built H-brace can hold up to 6,000 pounds of force. Always be sure to get your post as deep as you can and build a wide H brace with an 8-10 ft. minimum which can hold up to 6,000lbs of force. You can use pipe braces, it's easy to drive, accessible to areas with oil and gas explorations, and it lasts a long time.
It's recommended that you do not knot your posts. Knotting your post builds a point where water is trapped causing your post to rot.
A brace pen system is best used when building h braces. A pen system is created by drilling through your post using a 3/8 galvanized brace pen to support your cross brace.
Generally, with a high tensile product, you can go a full 1,320 ft. or 1/4 mile. You can go a 1/2 mile boring an inline brace which is a 3 post system where the product is tied in between at the 3rd post and stretched in 2 opposite directions.
